“I’ve been training twice a week with Steve at RCUK for the last 3 months and honestly I’ve never felt better. I’ve been working on losing some weight and generally toning up and improving my strength and mobility, as I could feel my posture getting worse and worse from not doing as much exercise as I should have been doing over the last couple of years and I was feeling really flat and had no energy or motivation for physical things that I used to love doing. In my sessions I’m put through regular CV training and interval fitness tests, I’ve had a weights programme designed for me which we work on and improve on every few weeks - I’m so much stronger now than I thought I would be - and in other sessions we do high energy circuits for a full body work out which used to leave me shattered but which I can complete at a much greater intensity these days. I get all the motivation, support and coaching I need from Steve, I’m far clearer about the exercise nutrition side of things and being stretched off at the end of each session helps me relax and unwind and has improved my flexibility no end. I can’t imagine life without my personal training now, the sessions have become a vital part of my weekly routine and they’re something that I really look forward to.”

“At the start of our sessions, being of a larger persuasion and having two arthritic knees, if you told me that three months down the line I would have: lost a stone in weight: dropped a dress size (so important to us ladies); even contemplated getting on a rowing machine and now be loving every single second of that; boxing - such great anger management after bad days in the office; conquering the bike and cycling for 20 minutes or so; and being able to garden and do household chores without huffing and puffing - I would have never believed you. I never thought it was possible, well how wrong was I!!

“I used to put my pelvis out all the time which prevented me from being able to do so much of the daily farm duties I need to do. Having been told by a surgeon that I needed to strengthen my core muscles to prevent the need for further injections in the facet joints of my spine, finding a Personal Trainer for some regular, structured exercise sessions became very important to me.
When I first started with Steve, we worked on a back care programme for the first month or two to improve my stability and flexibility, before gradually working more intensely on core strength. I’m now able to complete aerobic circuits without any pain or discomfort and I’ve stepped up to interval sessions and fitness tests on both the spinning bike and rowing machine.
My core strength’s better than it ever was because of the regular sessions I’ve been having, my general fitness and flexibility are improving week by week and it’s a joy to hear my chiropractor tell me that my pelvis is currently in the best condition he’s ever seen it, and that I’m much more stable as a result.”
